What makes the EBB class different from other childbirth classes?

The EBB Childbirth Class is constantly being updated to reflect the latest studies and practices in the birth world. It is convenient and efficient, with videos that you watch on your own schedule, and then a weekly meeting to discuss what you’ve learned and ask questions.

What is the format of the class?

This is a 6-week class. There will be a maximum of 6 couples in this class. Weeks 1 and 6 will be 2 hour classes in-person at Full Circle. Each week, you will be responsible for watching about 2 hours worth of EBB videos on your own schedule, and then we will come together on Zoom for 1 hour to discuss what we’ve learned.

I am having a hospital birth. Is this class right for me?

Yes! This class will discuss the hospital system, advocating for yourself within that system, interventions you may be offered, and more. This class will also go in-depth on comfort measures, so you can feel prepared whether you are planning an unmedicated birth, or birthing with an epidural.

I am having a birth center or home birth. Is this class right for me?

Yes! This class focuses on comfort measures and the anatomy of birth, and you will be fully prepared for an unmedicated, out of hospital experience. It also covers everything you’d need to know should a hospital transfer be needed before or during your birth.

What is the cost?

The class fee is $350, and that includes spots for both you and your partner, as well as your physical workbook and 3 months of access to the online videos. (Class fee is waived for my doula clients, you only pay $50 for materials). If you have a doula (besides me),she can join you for all 6 weeks for an auditing fee of $200, or she can just attend the final Comfort Measures Rehearsal class with you for free.
